May is National Foster Care Awareness Month!
This month, we’re honored to highlight our local eXtension partner Restore Network who provides critical support to foster families in our community!
Children enter foster care through no fault of their own. Every child deserves a safe, loving home where they can heal and thrive. Our partnership with Restore Network helps make this possible.
We encourage you to visit to read about real stories from kids in Illinois that need help finding a home. There you will also find more information on ways you can help whether you feel led to foster, or volunteer your time and talents in other ways.
Clergy United Community Forum 5/9 – Gender issues affect everyone in different ways. Join Clergy United on May 9 at 6:00 pm at The Falls Event Center for an evening dedicated to educating, encouraging, and equipping you to approach these issues in a Biblical way. Be encouraged! No matter how these issues affect you, there is always hope in Christ. Adults $25 admission. Students get free admission but still need to register.

May at LCXKids: Echo!
This month, our kids will discover what it means to be true influencers – those whose lives ECHO Jesus to everyone around them! Through fun weekly lessons, they’ll learn:
How to “Taste and See” God’s goodness
Why “Everyone Needs Jesus”
That “Jesus is Enough” (no perfection required)
How “The Holy Spirit Makes Me Bold”
“Let you light shine so others can see it. Then they will see the good things you do. And they will bring glory to your Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16
