The LifechurchX Vision
LifechurchX was birthed in 2016 from a vision God gave to me. I’d like to share it with you so you can understand why our church eXists.
Since being born again in 2002, I’ve been on fire for Jesus. Early in my walk of faith I received revelation from the Bible that God had a plan for my life, a destiny, and that it is unique to me (Jeremiah 29:11-13, Jeremiah 1:5, Psalms 139:13-16, 2 Timothy 1:9). I saw that I was created with gifts and abilities that were given from God, are empowered by God, and are intended to be used to bring Him glory (Ephesians 2:10, Romans 12:4-6, Romans 11:36). Once I knew that the Creator of the universe had a purpose for my life, I set myself on a mission to passionately pursue my God-given destiny and abandon all other options (Philippians 3:12-14, Joshua 24:15). Can I tell you something? God created you with a purpose too. In fact, He’s created us all that way. Not everyone will accept His calling and choose to follow it… but many will. It has become my life’s mission to help others realize they have a purpose, to discover that purpose, to mobilize them for that purpose, and to help empower them to walk it out and begin leading others to their destiny as well (2 Timothy 2:2).
Raising Up Game-Changers
This vision burned in me for many years and I pursued it in many different ways. God used me in the business world for 12 years before going into vocational ministry in 2011. After 5 years of laboring to build His Kingdom in another amazing local church, LIFECHURCH-STL, I felt the call from God to plant a new church with the clear vision of helping as many people as possible fulfill their purpose. This is how we arrived at our vision statement… “Raising Up GameChangers”.
Game-Changer is another term for X-factor… a change agent in any situation that influences the outcome more than anything else. Children of God, on fire with purpose, reflects the Church Jesus came to establish… and the Church is the hope of the world! That’s where the X after our name came from. Have you noticed that our X actually looks like a cross as well? That’s not a coincidence. It’s a constant reminder that it’s only in Christ that we accomplish our destiny (Ephesians 1:11). You see, when men and women in the Body of Christ step into their God-given calling and begin walking it out with the empowerment of His Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8) the Church impacts the world in the most transformational way possible. It is the X-factor!
Putting the Church First
The Church should be the most influential voice in society. The Church gets Her voice when men and women on fire for God are influencing the world and bringing transformational change. Simply put, they are changing the game in our world through the power of God (Ephesians 3:20). When a child of God begins walking out his or her destiny they become a part of His bigger, overall plan… to bring those who are lost back into relationship with Him through His Son (John 3:16-17) and begin living the life they were created to live (John 10:10).
The Goal of LifechurchX
LifechurchX eXists to “Raise Up Game-Changers”. This is the vision that drives everything we do. From serving our community to evangelism (eXtend), from discipleship (eXpand) to fellowship (eXchange), and from worship to prayer (eXperience)… every decision we make is done through the lens of how it will contribute to our vision. We measure our success by the amount of people who are coming to the knowledge of Christ and are passionately pursuing His plan for their lives. We are contending for an uprising of the Church in our generation that reaches multitudes for Jesus. To this end we labor (Colossians 1:28-29). Will you join us?
