Pastor Matt Heck
Lead Pastor
As Lead Pastor at LifechurchX, Pastor Matt Heck leads with vision, passion, and a heart for God’s people. He is responsible for casting the overall vision of LCX and guiding the preaching and teaching ministry that fosters spiritual growth throughout the congregation. With a unique combination of entrepreneurial acumen and pastoral calling, Matt brings both business wisdom and Kingdom perspective to church leadership.
Before answering the call to full-time ministry in 2011, Matt spent over 11 years as an entrepreneur across multiple industries including finance, construction, product development, marketing, and real estate investing. This diverse business eXperience has uniquely equipped him to lead a growing church with both spiritual depth and organizational eXcellence. He has served in various pastoral roles including discipleship, small groups, outreach, and campus pastor, and is currently pursuing his Master’s of Divinity at Oral Roberts University.
Matt has been married to his wife Kati for 21 years, and together they have siX amazing children. Their entire family has been on the ministry journey from day one, embodying the heart of what it means to serve God together as a household.
When he’s not shepherding the flock or studying, Matt enjoys the great outdoors through fishing and hunting, stays active with golf and fitness, and continues to explore his passion for business and organizational development. His entrepreneurial spirit remains alive as he evaluates new business ventures and their potential Kingdom impact.
His favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” This passage has served as his life verse for many years, constantly reminding him of the importance of trusting God above everything else, whether in ministry decisions or business ventures.
What brought Matt to LCX wasn’t a job opportunity—it was a divine calling. In 2016, God placed it on his heart to plant this church, and he remains committed to stewarding the vision God gave him for as long as the Lord asks him to do so.
Matt’s favorite books include the Bible and Spiritual Leadership by Henry Blackaby. If he could have dinner with anyone, it would be his grandpa, who was his hero and greatest encourager. His grandpa went to be with the Lord in January 2024, and Matt deeply misses their conversations and the wisdom his grandfather shared.
Whether he’s in the pulpit or the boardroom, Matt embodies the belief that God can use every eXperience—business and ministry alike—to advance His Kingdom and transform lives.

Pastor Kati Heck
Lead Pastor
Kati Heck wears many hats as Lead Pastor at LifechurchX. She serves on both the preaching and eXecutive teams, heads up neXt Gen ministries, and plays a key role in church structure development. Whether she’s leading from the pulpit or behind the scenes, Kati’s heart is to serve wherever she’s needed, and to help others walk in the fullness of their calling.
Kati’s ministry journey began with five years of mentorship under her pastor, followed by two years as a campus pastor before launching LifechurchX with her husband, Matt Heck in 2016. Before stepping into full-time ministry and homeschooling her children, she gained diverse eXperience flipping houses, managing retail stores, and working in financial services.
Kati is married to “the most adventurous and God-fearing man” she knows, and together they’re raising siX incredible kids who love Jesus, family, and the local church with passion and purpose. She’s a lifelong learner who enjoys discovering new things and absolutely loves to plan.
One of her favorite scriptures is 2 Kings 6:16–17, which reminds her that God is always doing big things! If we will seek Him for eyes to see He will open them to a new vantage point.
Kati is driven by a deep desire to see the Kingdom of God advanced through the power of the Holy Spirit and God’s people walking in freedom and victory. That passion is the heartbeat behind everything she does at LCX.
A few fun facts: Her favorite book (besides the Bible) is The Bait of Satan, a powerful read that’s helped her, and many others, break free from the chains of unforgiveness. If she could have dinner with anyone, it would be Jesus of course then her family, but she gets to do that already! Otherwise, King David. To get to sit with a man known to be one after God’s own heart would be amazing!! And killing giants…!!
Outside of her pastoral role, Kati is passionate about investing in her family and growing as a leader—always learning, always growing, always ready to take new ground for the Kingdom.

Pastor Mike Lemp
EXecutive Pastor
As EXecutive Pastor at LifechurchX, Pastor Mike Lemp brings leadership, structure, and vision to the daily operations of the church. He manages the administrative and organizational needs of LCX, while also serving on the EXecutive Leadership Team and the preaching team. With a unique blend of corporate and ministry eXperience, Mike is passionate about stewarding the church well, both in mission and in management.
Before joining LCX, Mike spent 10 years as EXecutive Pastor at Life Church in St. Louis. Prior to full-time ministry, he worked 15 years in the corporate world in media, marketing, and branding, eXperience that uneXpectedly prepared him for the multifaceted demands of church leadership.
Mike has been married to his wife Kristi for 29 years.Together, they’ve raised three children and now enjoy life as grandparents to a beautiful granddaughter. Their home has also been a safe haven to 28 foster children over the years, a reflection of their deep commitment to loving others like Jesus.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys coaching high school baseball and basketball and spending time with his family. Whether on the field or at home, he’s a natural leader who values integrity, wisdom, and connection.
His favorite Bible verse is John 10:10: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” That one verse has shaped the way he views both ministry and purpose, knowing that Jesus came not just to save, but to bring full, abundant life.
What drew Mike to LCX was a desire to serve the local church with everything he has: “I want to eXhaust any influence I might have to serve God’s Kingdom in whatever way He sees fit.”
A couple of his favorite books include the Bible and Spiritual Leadership by Henry and Richard Blackaby. If he could have dinner with anyone, it wouldn’t be a celebrity or historical figure, it would be his wife, kids, and granddaughter. His greatest passion outside of work is creating a lasting spiritual legacy for his family. As Mike and Mother Teresa put it, “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.”

Guy Briley
Waterloo-Columbia Campus Pastor
As the Campus Pastor for LifechurchX’s Waterloo-Columbia location, Guy Briley leads with compassion, humility, and a servant’s heart. He oversees the day-to-day ministry of the campus, including leadership of the Worship and Media Teams, outreach efforts, and the eXtreme Service Teams. Guy also fosters ongoing relationships with local eXtensions and works to build new bridges in the community. He serves the congregation by planning weddings, funerals, and providing care and resources for those in critical need.
Before stepping into full-time ministry, Guy worked for 32 years as a union laborer and served as a Deputy Sheriff with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office for 8 years. He also worked as a police officer in Valmeyer. Guy completed his Pastoral Ministry Certification through ChurchEd and The King’s University and previously served as a worship pastor, where his love for music and ministry came together.
Guy has been married to his amazing wife Kelly for 25 years. Together, they have two sons, Matthew Thomas and Joshua David, and one grandson, Kade Thomas, who lights up their world. Family is everything to Guy, and his greatest joy outside of ministry is being a husband, dad, and “Papa.”
When it comes to hobbies, Guy enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing bass and acoustic guitar. He’s also a big fan of golf, even if he says he’s still working on his game! He’s not much of a TV guy, but he does enjoy a good action or (non-spiritual) scary movie—Captain Phillips is one of his favorites. His current favorite read is The Bait of Satan, a powerful book about freedom from offense and unforgiveness.
Two of Guy’s favorite Bible verses are Philippians 4:13 and Jeremiah 29:11. These remind him daily that his flesh must yield to the Spirit, and that the enemy’s plan for failure will never outweigh God’s plan for victory. “There is a purpose for my life and that time is now. In His strength, I can do all things through Christ!”
Guy and Kelly first came to LCX simply looking for a church near home where they could be more involved. By their second Sunday, they knew God was calling them not just to attend, but to serve. “I never imagined it would be doing ministry with such a great team,” Guy says. “What a blessing it has been!”
If he could have dinner with anyone, it would be his grandparents, so they could meet his wife, his boys, and his grandson Kade. “They were so inspirational in my life growing up, and I would love for them to share their stories with my family.”

Pastor Holly Camacaro
Jerseyville Campus Pastor
As the Jerseyville Campus Pastor, Holly leads with both vision and compassion. She oversees all ministries at the campus, providing leadership and support for the NeXtGen, Worship, First Impressions, and Prayer teams. Whether coordinating events, managing building needs, or organizing funeral dinners, Holly ensures that every detail reflects the heart and mission of LifechurchX.
Holly holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and completed pastoral ministry training through ChurchEd and The King’s University. She also attended Pastor’s School with Jimmy Evans. Her ministry eXperience spans over a decade, including roles as a children’s pastor, Christian school director, and camp counselor. Before stepping into full-time ministry, she also served in the Ferguson-Florissant School District as an elementary teacher for 10 years.
Holly is married to Rodrigo, whom she met on a missions trip to Venezuela 21 years ago. They’ve been married for 18 years and have two wonderful children, Lillian and Gabriel. As a family, they love to swim, eXplore local farmer’s markets, and serve together at church. Holly finds joy in cooking, hosting people in her home, and living in biblical community. She’s also passionate about learning, particularly through podcasts on theology and leadership.
Her favorite Bible verses reflect the way she lives and leads. Galatians 5:22–23, the first passage she ever memorized, reminds her daily to bear the fruit of the Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4–9 captures her heart for discipleship, especially within her own family, teaching and modeling a love for God in everyday life.
What drew Holly to LifechurchX is her deep love for the Church and for people. She’s passionate about helping others know Jesus personally and seeing the Body of Christ come together to worship and follow Him with everything they have.
A few fun facts: Her favorite book (besides the Bible) is The Awe of God by John Bevere, which challenges her to walk in constant reverence of the Lord. And if you ask her kids, they’ll tell you she’s always up for a cheesy, feel-good romantic movie.
If she could have dinner with anyone, it would be Jesus and His disciples—to ask questions, witness their conversations firsthand, and especially to hear from John about his visions and miracles.

Deb Matthews
Waterloo-Columbia Administrative Assistant
Deb Matthews brings warmth, creativity, and decades of eXperience to her role as Administrative Assistant at the Waterloo-Columbia campus. She faithfully serves behind the scenes, assisting pastors and leaders with administrative support to keep everything “humming along,” as she puts it. Whether she’s coordinating details, organizing documents, or adding special creative touches around the building and events, Deb helps create an atmosphere of eXcellence and hospitality.
Her path to LCX has been shaped by a wide range of life eXperiences and roles that uniquely prepared her for this position. Deb has worked as a professional photographer and studio owner, managed a local thrift shop supporting House of Neighborly Service, and even ran a cake and cookie decorating business. Each of these roles sharpened her eye for detail, love for people, and passion for service.
Deb has been joyfully married to her husband, David, for 43 years. Together they have siX sons, four daughters-in-love, and ten (soon to be eleven!) precious grandchildren. Family is one of Deb’s greatest joys and ongoing inspirations.
Outside of church, Deb is passionate about interior design and home renovation. She enjoys watercolor painting, fiber arts, and all kinds of creative projects. But most of all, she is a lifelong student of the Word. She loves digging into Scripture, applying its truth to her life, and sharing her insight with the next generation.
One of Deb’s favorite Bible verses is Jeremiah 29:13–14: “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.”To her, this verse captures the transformational power of true surrender to God. “It amazes me how we can’t help but change for the better when we truly seek Him.”
What drew Deb to work at LCX? In her words, “Through circumstances and conversations that could only have been God-ordained—and of course, lots of prayer—I knew I was stepping into a workplace that values authenticity, open communication, and a pursuit of eXcellence for the glory of God.”
Her favorite films are old, heartwarming classics like The Quiet Man and It’s A Wonderful Life, passed down from her mom.

Becky Davenport
Jerseyville Administrative Assistant
Becky plays a vital behind-the-scenes role, handling everything from ordering supplies and scheduling repairs to assisting Pastor Holly with day-to-day needs and uneXpected tasks. Her heart to serve and attention to detail keep things running smoothly.
Before joining the LifechurchX team, Becky spent over 20 years as a school bus driver and worked in an office at a car dealership prior to raising her family. She attended college for 2 ½ years and brings a strong work ethic and steady presence to the LCX staff.
Becky and her husband David have been married for 42 years. They have two grown daughters and are proud grandparents to two grandsons, ages 9 and 11. In her free time, Becky enjoys traveling and playing games with family and friends.
Her favorite Bible verse, Romans 8:28, has been a meaningful source of encouragement since her early walk with Jesus. She grew up Catholic and her parents were very unhappy with her for leaving the Catholic church. She clung to this verse during that difficult time.
A faithful member since the days of Charity Christian Center, Becky felt called to continue serving with LifechurchX. She loves the mission, the people, and being a part of a church body that is changing lives.
Fun fact: Becky is a big fan of Hallmark Christmas movies, prairie-era stories, and anything with a heartwarming, happy ending.

Kyle Klunk
Jerseyville LCXYouth Leader
As the LCXYouth Leader in Jerseyville, Kyle Klunk is called to minister to teens both inside and outside the church. His heart is to lead by eXample, shepherding young men and women toward a God-fearing, obedient, and servant-hearted life. Beyond youth ministry, Kyle serves on the prayer team, regularly interceding with and for the congregation, and he helps maintain the church facilities, fiXing whatever needs attention.
Kyle’s qualifications come from full surrender to Christ and a willingness to go wherever God calls him. That pivotal moment came during a church service when he prayed, “Lord, here I am. Whatever You want me to do and wherever You want me to go, I’m all Yours.” Since then, Kyle has been committed to being an obedient vessel for God’s glory.
Kyle is married to his high school sweetheart, and they’ve been together since she was 14 and he was 16. They have two beautiful daughters and are eXpecting a third girl—though Kyle’s still praying for a boy someday (God willing and wife convinced!). His greatest earthly blessing is his family, and his goal is to lead them in a way that reflects Christ to the world.
In his professional life, Kyle works as a mobile mechanic for ALTEC, servicing bucket trucks, diggers, and cranes. He studied diesel mechanics and previously worked for an international truck dealer, a Massey Ferguson dealer, and in water main inspection. When he’s not working or serving at LCX, you can find Kyle enjoying time with his family, hunting, fishing, riding anything with wheels, or fixing things just for fun.
His favorite Bible verse is 2 Timothy 3:16–17, which reminds him that God’s Word is “breathed out” and sufficient to teach, correct, and equip us for the life we were created to live.
Kyle is passionate about living out his faith in front of his children and community, believing that a godly family can transform the atmosphere around them. His mission is simple: to serve God, love his family well, and be a light to the neXt generation.
Fun fact: Kyle doesn’t enjoy reading but loves listening to the Word—thank God for audio Bibles! If he could have dinner with anyone (besides Jesus, whom he already dines with spiritually), he’d pick Moses: “He has some wild stories I’d love to hear firsthand.”

Jess Reeves
Waterloo-Columbia LCXKids Director
As the LCXKids Director at our Waterloo-Columbia campus, Jess brings energy, creativity, and a deep love for Jesus to everything that happens on Sunday mornings in Kids Ministry. Her passion is to help children build a strong foundation of faith by learning biblical truth in a way that is engaging, meaningful, and memorable. She also leads and disciples her team, equipping them to grow spiritually and to raise up the neXt generation of LCXKids leaders.
Jess began her journey in ministry by simply saying “yes” in small ways. First volunteering in the baby room, then with toddlers, then PreK. Over time, she took on more responsibility and completed her Kids Ministry Certification online. Eventually, God opened the door for her to step fully into leadership, and she’s been faithfully building ever since.
Jess is joyfully married to Jared—aka “the barefoot drummer” (though he wears shoes more often now!). Together, they have four beautiful children: Madi, Riley, Jade, and Aria. Family is central to everything Jess does, and when she’s not at church or serving in ministry, you’ll find her making memories with her crew—crafting, heading to the lake, or relaxing at the beach.
During the week, Jess also works as a licensed customer service representative with American Family Insurance. Whether she’s helping someone through a tough claim or celebrating a new car or home, she finds purpose in serving others with eXcellence and compassion.
Her favorite Bible verse is John 7:37–38: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” To Jess, Jesus is the Living Water. “When I spend time with Him, I get refreshed and filled up. He is the source and the only One I can run to when I am thirsty. For me to effectively minister to my husband, my family, my team, LCXkids, I have to be filled to the point of overflow by Jesus, the living water, so that I can pour out to other people.”
Jess has always had a heart for children. Even as a little girl, she was drawn to nurturing and teaching them. She may not have known all the details of what her life would look like, but she always knew she wanted to be a wife and mom, and God has honored those desires with purpose and ministry.
She’s been shaped by several powerful books in her walk with Christ, including Shattering Your Strongholds by Liberty Savard, The Bait of Satan by John Bevere, and How to Worship a King by Zach Neese. But her foundation is always the Bible.
If she could sit down for dinner with anyone, Jess would choose Mary, the mother of Jesus, to hear what it was like to raise the Son of God, and to learn more about His childhood, His teachings, and the miraculous life she witnessed firsthand.
Jess is deeply passionate about becoming more like Jesus every day. “I want to lead like Him, love like Him, have compassion like Him, pray like Him, walk in authority like Him, and teach like Him.” Her life and leadership are a reflection of that desire.

Liz Karrick
Jerseyville LCXKids Director
As the LCXKids Director in Jerseyville, Liz brings energy, heart, and eXperience to leading the neXt generation. She oversees all aspects of kids ministry, including scheduling, volunteer training, curriculum planning, and coordinating family events. But her favorite place to be is right where the kids are, as the Lead Teacher on Sunday mornings, sharing God’s love and truth in a way that connects with their hearts.
Liz served under Pastor Holly for 5–6 years in Kids Ministry at Charity Christian Center, and those early years of hands-on ministry laid the foundation for her leadership today. She’s passionate about helping children understand the love of God in real, lasting ways—and she leads a team of volunteers who do just that every week.
Liz and her husband Stan are proud parents of two daughters: Zoe and Mia. Their home is also shared with two dogs (Jax and Stevie) and one cat named Sir Rose. Liz works full-time as the Controller at TravelPlex Travel and Cruise, a travel agency in St. Louis where she’s been for 23 years.
Outside of work and ministry, Liz loves camping and riding side-by-sides and four-wheelers with her family. For her, joy is found in togetherness—whether in nature, at home, or in church.
Her favorite Bible verse is John 3:16. It was the first verse she ever memorized, and it remains her go-to when sharing the Gospel with kids. God has used it repeatedly in her life to speak love and truth when she’s needed it most.
Liz says LCX came into her life at eXactly the right time. It was here that her heart was healed, and when the opportunity to serve arose, she knew without a doubt it was where God wanted her to be.
One of her favorite books is The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren, which she read as a young Christian. It gave her powerful insight into God’s plans for her life, insight she still carries with her today.
If she could have dinner with anyone, it would be her great-grandmother, a woman who endured deep loss but radiated joy and unwavering faith. “She taught me to trust God always, even in the hardest moments.” Liz still carries the lessons from those early-morning Bible readings before school, and she would love the chance to tell her great-grandma, “I got it.”

Brittany Farrell
Bookkeeper
As Bookkeeper at LifechurchX, Brittany Farrell plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in stewarding the church’s financial integrity. She is responsible for logging and organizing all LCX eXpenses, ensuring everything is handled with care, accuracy, and eXcellence.
Brittany holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and her heart for kids led her to serve in LCX’s neXt Gen ministries for eight years. After stepping away from that role to focus on family, God opened a new door with this position—a perfect fit in the right season. Her journey into bookkeeping was less about numbers and more about obedience and willingness to serve wherever needed.
Brittany and her husband Matt have five children, and their home is filled with faith, laughter, and a deep love for Jesus. Before stepping into her current role, Brittany was a stay-at-home mom, cherishing time with her little ones and building a strong foundation of faith in the home.
She loves reading, learning new things, and diving into crafty hobbies (even if she doesn’t claim to be a pro!). Rainy days on the couch with her kids and a cup of coffee are her favorite kind of reset. She’s also passionate about personal growth and spending intentional time with her family.
One of Brittany’s favorite Bible verses is Psalm 16:8: “I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.” It’s one of the first scriptures she memorized and has anchored her through many seasons. “When I set God before me in everything—good or bad—He always moves, heals, provides, and is glorified. There’s nothing He can’t use to transform us.”
While Brittany was originally drawn to LCX because of family, it quickly became clear that God had something more in store. “As I drew closer to Him, His calling on my life to be part of LCX at a deeper level became evident. My heart is locked in with the vision of LCX and I love the people who attend. There is so much evidence of the Holy Spirit at work in this house, and I love the way God makes Himself known through this church.”

Dave Sauer
MediaX Lead
As the MediaX Lead at LifechurchX, David Sauer brings nearly four decades of professional eXperience and a lifelong passion for ministry to the technical and creative side of church. His role is to advance the vision of LCX by continually improving media production and building a team of skilled, Spirit-led media volunteers.
David’s professional background spans nearly 40 years in video and live event production as a Technician, Technical Director, Project Manager, Systems Designer, and Consultant. His spiritual journey includes over 26 years as a Bible teacher, 10 years as a youth leader, and countless years serving in church media.
David has been married to his wife, Susan, since 1991. Together they have two adult children who faithfully serve the Lord, two grandchildren (and counting!), and a beloved beagle named Scout, the latest addition in a long line of pets and wildlife rescues.
Before joining LCX, David’s career included five years in event staging and management, 16 years in systems design and training, and 15 years as an independent producer and freelance A/V consultant. His combined marketplace and ministry eXperience make him uniquely equipped to lead the MediaX team with eXcellence and purpose.
He enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors, eXploring entrepreneurial ventures, and geeking out on technology.
One of David’s favorite Bible verses is John 6:68:
“But Simon Peter answered Him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.’”
This verse carries deep personal meaning. “In my darkest and most difficult times, I found myself weak in faith and questioning God. I sensed Jesus asking me, ‘Do you also want to go away?’ And like Peter, I had to answer, ‘Where else would I go?’ I know the Truth. I cannot walk away from Him who gave me life.”
What drew David to LCX was the powerful, grounded, and Spirit-filled messages. He felt compelled to offer his skills and experience to further the Gospel alongside the team. He’s had a burden for ministry since childhood, and knows God led him here.
His favorite book is The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom, a story of unshakable faith in unimaginable circumstances. As for TV? He’ll say Lost—at least up until the final season and a half!
