Our Beliefs

Statement of Faith. The following doctrinal commitments represent the core beliefs of the church as outlined in the Bible. The programs and activities governing the form of worship of LifechurchX, Inc. shall be based upon and at all times shall be consistent with the following creed and beliefs:

  1. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. The Holy Scriptures are the source of ultimate truth which are unchanging with the times. We believe the whole Bible is to be preached in order to make Biblical disciples, and nothing is ever to be added or taken away from the Holy Scriptures. We believe the Bible is complete and not lacking anything we need for our purpose in this life and eternity. (2 Timothy 3:16; I Peter 1:25; 2 Peter 1:21; Romans 10:17; Revelation 22:18-19; Hebrews 13:8)
  2. We believe in one God revealed as 3 Persons (Trinity) – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; John 1:14; Acts 5:3-4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Colossians 1:15-20; Hebrews 1:1-3; Revelation 1:4-6)
  3. We believe in the virgin birth (Immaculate Conception) and the deity of Jesus Christ, that He was fully God and fully man. (Matthew 1:23; John 1:14)
  4. We believe in the fall and redemption of man. Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." "As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one." Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world to defeat the work of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. (Romans 5:12; Romans 3:23; Romans 3:10; 1 John 3:8)
Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. (Ephesians 2:8)
  5. We believe in the new birth and eternal life. Man’s first step toward salvation is repentance of sin. The new birth is necessary to all men, and when fulfilled produces eternal life. When repentance of sin and acceptance of God’s forgiveness through His Son have happened, we are infilled with the Holy Spirit. We are born again and made a new creation in Christ and become heirs of eternal life as well as spiritual gifts and blessings in this life necessary to fulfill our purpose. (Romans 10:6-10; 1 John 1:9; 2 Corinthians 7:10; John 3:16; Romans 8:17; Ephesians 1:13; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Revelation 3:5; Revelation 20:15; Ephesians 1:3; Ephesians 4:8)
  6. We believe in the commandment of water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe water baptism is for believers only. The act of obedience is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ and His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Acts 10:48, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12)
  7. We believe in observing the Lord’s Supper (Communion). (1 Corinthians 11:24-26)
  8. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, an experience following conversion, in the same manner as in the days of the Early Church. (Acts 1:5; 10:44-46; 19:1-6)
  9. We believe in the Spirit-filled life, that it is the will of God that believers walk in the Spirit moment by moment with power, authority, and victory over powers of darkness in this world. (Galatians 5:16-25, Ephesians 4:30-32; 5:18, 1 John 5:4)
  10. We believe that the Holy Spirit bestows enabling ministry gifts upon believers (1 Corinthians 12:1-11, Ephesians 4:8); and that we should show spiritual “fruit” as evidence of a Spirit-filled life. (Galatians 5:22-25)
  11. We believe that divine healing is the power of Jesus Christ to heal the sick in answer to the prayer of faith. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and it is the privilege of every member of the church today. (Mark 16: 17, 18; James 5:14-16, 1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17)
  12. We believe in the resurrection of the just and the second coming of Christ. The Angels said, "This same Jesus shall so come in like manner: His coming is imminent. When He comes, "The dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air." (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
Following the tribulation, He shall return to earth, as King of kings, and the Lord of lords and together with His Saints, who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign a thousand years. (Revelation 20:6;(Matthew 24:36, 42, 44)
  13. We believe that it is a Biblical command to identify ourselves with a congregation of believers. (Acts 16:5; Hebrews 10:24-25, Proverbs 27:17)
  14. We believe that all shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ. (Revelation 20:11, 12; 2 Corinthians 5:10) (Colossians 3:12, 13; Philippians 4:5)
  15. We believe that heaven is the glorious habitation of the living God and the eternal home of born-again believers. (John 14:2; Revelation 7:15-17)
  16. We believe that hell is the place of eternal separation from God for all who reject Christ as Savior. The one who physically dies in his sins without Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire, and therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or for repentance. The lake of fire is literal. The terms “eternal’ and “everlasting” used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the lake of fire carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in noting the duration of joy and ecstasy of the saints in the presence of God. (Matthew 13: 41, 42; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:10, 15)
  17. We believe that tithes and offerings are ordained by God to sustain His ministry, spread the Gospel, and release personal blessing. (Malachi 3:10; 1 Corinthians 16: 1, 2)
  18. We believe marriage is between one man and one woman. God created the institution of marriage and He created it to be only between one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24, Leviticus 18:22, 1 Corinthians 7:2)
  19. We believe that gender is by God’s design. Gender was a gift given to each of us individually, specifically, and intentionally by God for our purpose and calling. We believe that He doesn’t make mistakes, therefore our gender cannot and should not attempt to be changed. (Genesis 5:2, Genesis 1:27)
